Digg BUM !
Since social bookmarking has become such a great hit a lot of people are trying to benefit something out of it. The social bookmarking that is known as the best traffic provider and the one that others like to look up to it is definitely Digg.
It takes quite a lot of Diggs to get on first site of the Digg. But once a website or certain article or page inside a perticular websites reaches the first page of digg the result is incredible. Acctualy the result is so incredible that there are already many threads on webmaster forums that are talking about the Digg BUM.
What is the Digg BUM ? When a website is shown on a main page of one of the biggest websites people click it, link it and talk about it. All these events bring imensive number of traffic to your site which is usualy the main goal of most webmasters. But the story luckly doesn’t end when your website is replaced with other, because all those people that visited your website and liked what they saw start writting about it and posting blog posts which also brings you quite a lot of visitors. So the digg bum starts with by my experience with about 20 000 visitors in a day from digg but that number falls to about 1000 visitors the folowing day, but the good thing is that pretty soon there are many posts from bloggers and forum posters which can also bring you hundreds or even thousands of visitors per day for a longer period. Thos posts will also provide you with good quality backlinks which are good for SEO which will bring you even more visitors in the following months, years of the life of your website.
