At the start of my internet marketing carrier I was building my sites with articles from article directories. Those articles have been already published on thousands of sites. I have been working quite hard in April. I built one new site, wrote few posts on this blog, made many link exchanges, joined in few new ad networks… I can see benefits of this hard work - traffic on all of my site are growing fast. Now it is time to calculate how much have I earned in April.

Directory submition is one of the best link building methods. It is free, easy and you don’t have to spam your website with links. But it takes a lot of time and many of your links stay unapproved.

The easiest way to avoid dead directories is submiting to new directories. Many webmasters spend a lot of hours with their new directory, but after some time they start working on other sites and there is no time for directory.

It is easy to find new directories on webmaster forums. My favourit place to find new directories is DigitalPoint.

I wrote about make money methods in previous post and today I’ll show you some more ways to make money.

1. Affiliate marketing
In affiliate marketing you put ads on your website and you are paid every time somebody you have reffered to webshop buy something. In the most cases you get from 4-75% commission but in other cases you get fixed amout of money per sale. The easies way to start with affiliate marketing is to join to one of the affiliate networks:

• ClickBank

2. Direct banner sales
Direct banner sales is great way to make money. You can cut out middleman commissions and make prices more affordable for advertisers. But you have to have lots of traffic and great marketing skills to get advertisers.

3. Paid Surveys and Polls
There are companies which pay for running polls and small surveys. The most popular service is called Vizu.

4. Donations
If you have great community which is aware of your hardworking and have lots of benefits from you content you can put small Donation button on you website.

5. Selling an eBook
Many bloggers rewrite thier post in eBook and sell it online. EBooks are great for readers because it is easier to read book than searching all over the blog to find all useful posts.

1. PPC Advertising
PPC advertising is one of the most popular methods to make money from your website. How does it work? You join one of the PPC network and than you put simple javascript code in HTML of your website. This code can show image banner, in-content links(Kontera) or text banner(AdSense, AdBrite…). You get paid everytime your visitor click on banner or link.

2. CPM Advertising
CPM means cost per 1,000 impressions. You get few bucks for every 1,000 impressions of banner or popup/popunder. You’ll get about $0.5 - $2 per 1,000 impressions. CPM advertising is popular mostly with entertiment websites which has low CTR and a lot of impressions. CPM program I use is Paypopup.

3. Paid reviews
Paid reviews are popular with bloggers. I don’t have much experiences with paid reviews, but some bloggers get upto $500 per post. The most popular review service is ReviewMe.

4. Text link sales
Text link sales is one of my favourit methods. Link buying is the easiest way to get more link popularity and many webmasters are doing it. I use Text link ads and TNX.net.

Business Blogging by ProBlogger
In the afternoon I was surfing all over the web and I found great post about business blogging. Blog can be extremly useful for your business if you use it right. You must not have your blog only for promoting your products because your blog will get almost no traffic and you won’t have any benefits from it. You should share useful tips about products you sell.

5 way to get readers to new blog

Today I’ll write something about direct traffic. Direct traffic is group of visitors, which wasn’t referred by any website or search engine. Those visitors simply write your URL in their browser or have your site bookmarked.

If you get a lot of traffic directly it means you have great brand or great domain(typo domain link. John Chow and John Cow or simple domain link pizza.com). This traffic is offen very quality and stable. It doesn’t depend on your SERP, advertising or inbound links. Even if you get banned from SE(search engines) you won’t lose this traffic. Direct visitors are also quite loyal and offen visit site.

You can see direct traffic is great. But how to get more direct visitors? There are few ways. First thing you need is really good site. You have to be outstanding - you have to be the best in visitors eyes. Second thing is good domain. It have to be easy to remember. Pizza.com is easier to remember than Xudfuzy.biz. And the last think, but probably the most important is strong brand. You can build your brand with advertising, guest blogging, forums posting…

I think we all know BlogRush. It is kind of traffic exchange service for bloggers. You just need to add small widget to your site and it shows few post titles. For every impression of this widget you get 1 credit and for every credit title of your post shows on one blog in your niche.

It is great tool, but the problem is that CTR is REALLY low. For some posts I got no click from 1000 impressions. It looks like worthless tool for you, doesn’t it?

But there are few ways to increase CTR. After doing that I got about one click from 300 impressions. It is still low, but I get quite a lot traffic from BlogRush(I get tons of bonus impressions and I think everybody does).

The trick is in title of your blog. You should use attractive titles. In my case the best title is something like this: 10 free tips to earn more.
People like lists, they want to make money and get free tips. So use this magic words - list, free, earn, and other similar words.

This tips are also useful for AdWords…

Networking is great way to promote your blog, but it is hard to connect with other bloggers. There is short list of to-do things.

1. Giving
You need to think about networking as long-term process. If you want to get long-term benefits you’ll have to give away lots of links and other things. Help people to reach their goals and they will start to like you.

2. Start with small bloggers
Every blogger wants to have top bloggers in his niche in his network, but for small bloggers it is rather impossible. You need to start with small bloggers in your niche. It is easier to connect with 10 bloggers with 500 readers per day than with one blogger who has 5000 readers - but effect is the same.

3. Keep your blog quality
Nobody wants to link low quality blogs. You need to work hard on your blog to make impression on other bloggers.

4. Think out-of-box
It is great to be connected with bloggers in your niche, but you can also connect with bloggers in n neighboring niches. Example: readers of real estate investing can be also interested in money making online.

5. Write quality comments
You have to write a little bit longer and high quality comments on other blogs to be spotted by author.

6. Be patient
Sometimes you’ll need to write 50 comments and mails to become friend with blogger.
